Singing with the Cobweb Orchestra

I’m really delighted to be joining the Cobweb Orchestra again in October of this year.

I first came across this orchestra last year when I was invited to join their April residential weekend to perform Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs. These are very beautiful but also very challenging pieces and it was wonderful to be able to sing them with a full orchestra. Later in the year I was able to join them again for two workshop sessions and a performance of Beethoven’s fantastic concert aria ‘Ah, perfido!’.

For anyone who is not familiar with the Cobweb Orchestra, it is actually a regional network of local orchestras that includes seasoned, experienced players, complete beginners and everything in between! They meet together regularly and put on a number of concerts throughout the year. As they say on their website “the emphasis of The Cobweb Orchestra is on sharing our enthusiasm for and enjoyment of music”. For further information about the choir or about this concert please check here for updates or visit their website.
